Memorial Scholarship
The Robert E. Bowen III Memorial Scholarship was founded to honor the memory and legacy of jazz bassist Bob Bowen. This year, we will award a $1500 scholarship to one deserving high school student who pursues a career in music. Award Value $1500
Eligibility
All applicants must:
• Be a graduating senior in the class of 2024
• Be committed to attend college as either a music major or minor (any music field)
• Be a resident of Nassau or Suffolk County, New York
There is no fee to apply. The scholarship is open to all students regardless of race, gender, or financial circumstances. An independent panel will choose the scholarship winner. The scholarship will recognize service to school and community, and is not based solely on the applicant’s ability as a performer.

3. Why are you pursuing a career in music?
